The ERP100DB stands out as a distinctive category of DIN Rail enclosures, meticulously crafted for the enterprise data center environments where expandability and serviceability are of utmost importance. Drawing inspiration from the proven design of the IRP208DB series DIN Rail enclosures, the ERP100DB is purpose-built to align seamlessly with the rigorous requirements of enterprise data centers. This tailored design ensures not only reliability but also addresses the critical aspects of expandability and scalability crucial for the dynamic nature of modern data center infrastructures.
Prevention of Hot and Cold Air Mixing.
Effectively managing temperature and airflow within a data center is paramount to ensure the efficient cooling of IT equipment and maintain optimal operating conditions. The terms 'hot aisle' and 'cold aisle' pertain to the strategic arrangement of server racks concerning airflow in the data center, forming part of a comprehensive approach known as aisle containment to maximize cooling efficiency.
To prevent the mixing of hot and cold air, we have designed the ERP100DB with a focus on minimizing airflow. This enclosure features top, bottom, and rear solid panels that fully enclose the equipment, effectively segregating DIN Rail equipment from interacting with the data center's hot and cold aisle air. Additionally, cable access ports on the right and left sides of the enclosure are equipped with plastic bushings to minimize air leakage.
Optional Cooling.
In instances where additional cooling is required for PLC computers, switches, or power supplies housed inside the ERP100DB, optional 80mm AC/DC cooling fans can be installed on the right and left sides of the enclosure. This design allows you to leverage the data center's cold aisle for cooling your equipment while minimizing the mixing of air between the hot and cold aisles.
Expend on the Fly
The ERP100DB is designed with expandability at its core. Unlike traditional methods that require the removal of cables, switches, terminals, and other DIN Rail components to expand the capacity of enclosures within a server rack, the ERP100DB allows for seamless upgrades without disrupting your existing setup. It features a specially designed cover panel that can be removed without detaching the enclosure itself. This innovative design allows service technicians to easily remove the cover panel of an existing ERP100DB enclosure and stack a new unit on top to meet your expansion needs. The new and existing ERP100DB enclosures are securely joined using the DRP100 expansion bracket kit. As shown in the illustration, two 6U units can be joined to form a larger 12U enclosure. This streamlined process minimizes downtime and reduces costs, allowing for hassle-free expansion and the addition of more equipment to your setup with minimal disruption
Easy Capacity Doubling.
If you need to install more DIN rail equipment in limited space, the ERP100DB-8U offers several configuration options to effectively double your installation capacity.
Option 1: Two-Panel Configuration
This method requires replacing the single 8U DIN rail panel with two 4U DIN rail panels (IRP104D) inside the IRP208DB-8U. This setup allows the use of the IRP1-CNB04 bracket, which can be mounted on the rear of each IRP104D DIN rail panel. For pricing on the two-panel configuration, please contact our sales team.
Option 2: Rear Expansion with IRP1-STF01 Standoff Kit
This kit uses the existing 9x9 square holes in the DIN rail panel. The IRP1-STF01 can be mounted in these rear square holes, where it does not interfere with the front-mounted DIN rail. Once installed, you can attach an additional DIN rail or a PVC wire duct to the desired position.
Option 3: Extended Screw Kit (IRP1-STF02)
This option utilizes IRP1-STF02 with longer M4 screws to mount a DIN rail directly onto the existing M4 PEM nuts. The screws, along with washers and nuts, allow secure rear-side installation of a DIN rail. This method is limited to locations where M4 PEM nuts are already installed.
All of these configurations require the DIN rail panel to be installed in the center-mount position using the ERP100DB ear brackets.
Optional Data ports Cover support
When data cable access ports are no longer in use, and covering the openings is necessary to maintain security and restrict airflow, a standard 4-inch electrical box cover panel can be used to cover unused oblong data cable ports. The ERP100DB has mounting holes compatible with industry-standard 4-inch electrical box cover panels, which are readily available at most home improvement stores

The IRP208DR-8U is an option specifically designed to complement the ERP100DB-8U DIN Rail Enclosure, utilizing the pre-existing mounting holes on the ear brackets for precise hinge installation. This feature allows IRP208DR-8U solid 8U doors to be mounted either within or independently of a 19-inch server cabinet. In other words, you have the flexibility to install the doors for the ERP100DB-8U as a standalone enclosure, without the need to mount them inside a 19-inch server rack. By adding the IRP208DR-8U, you can achieve a unified and visually appealing aesthetic for your project.
